EQUATRAN on the web
Lesson 3 : Boiling Point Calculation
Let's perform boiling point calculation of a multi-component system which is a little more complicated example.
(3-1)
About benzene-toluene system, we give the liquid phase composition x and the pressure P,
and ask for the boiling point t of the mixture.
We use an Antoine equation for vapor pressures, and apply the Raoul's law.
The source text of EQUATRAN is as follows.
(3-2)
In the case of three components, it is necessary to describe three same equations about each component. In order to describe briefly, we can use array variables. Three or more components are easily extensible.
